The August bank holiday weekend saw uncharacteristically good weather this year which was fortunate, as I was to spend the Saturday and Sunday positioned on Baltic Square. I didn't know what to expect from this weekend when I was booked for this initially; although the location, next to the Tyne was enough to to temp me to commit.
What was a real surprise and added bonus was that this weekend was to coincide with the free, immersive art exhibition at the Baltic Centre showcasing Newcastle United's recent, historic victory in the Carabao Cup.

Although entrance to the exhibition was free, tickets still had to be pre-booked for a specific time slot which meant lots of queuing. Queues and takeaway coffee are a financial match made in heaven and made for two excellent days trading. I worked my way through 42 litres of milk and over 10kg of ice serving hundreds of diehard Toon Army fans and many international customers too.
A fun and rewarding couple of days that certainly blew the holiday cobwebs off my coffee making and hospitality skills after a family holiday earlier in the month.
