Discover Jesmond 1888 is a National Heritage Lottery Fund project with a heritage trail linking two of Jesmond’s most beautiful and historic churches, St George's and the United Reformed. Discover Jesmond 1888 is an eighteen-month events programme that was launched on Saturday 25th April at which the first 50 attendees were lucky enough to receive a free coffee, drinking chocolate or tea along with a traybake of their choosing.

Discover Jesmond 1888 is the first stage in a larger project to restore the churches' exceptional pipe organs, originally built by the eminent British organ builder, T. C. Lewis. Drew, the organist at St George's and also the person responsible for my presence there mentioned a figure of £500,000 to me that they need to raise, I think for just this organ!
I'm always meeting new people at work which is one of the things I love about doing what I do and quite often I meet people (other traders) I've heard of and this was to be no different as I met the husband and wife team Lynn and Mark who run The Jesmond Ice Cream Company. https://www.thejesmondicecreamcompany.co.uk/home

This was a prepay event for me which I always like as I know I'm going to have a guaranteed element to the day's takings plus it means I can chat to people without worrying whether or not I've charged them and if their payment has gone through.
Service time was 9.30-11.30am on this one which, on a Saturday, felt like absolute luxury
as I was home with the van cleaned and stock replenished for the next event by lunchtime.
