April saw the van booked for its second corporate engagement of the year for Below280 a company based in the Apex Business Village, Cramlington.

Now I'm still not 100% sure about the organisation of the business but as I understand it, the owner of Below280 is also the owner of Decerna, a company based at the same address but upstairs from Below280.

Below280 provides expert consultancy and education in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon capture due diligence, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and a range of other environmental impact issues related to global supply chains.

Decerna is a consultancy and developer which exists to facilitate the rapid transition towards a global net zero economy, powered by clean affordable energy.

So essentially the same industry but wearing slightly different hats!

The really nice thing about this booking was it was for employees, not to impress clients or to win a contract. Employee appreciation pure and simple and on a Monday morning!

For two hours I served the employees and as word and invitations spread, employees from other companies based in the business village too. This simple and relatively affordable gesture got people from different companies talking, networking and generally having a really nice Monday morning and one that I hope will lead to future collaborations amongst the businesses within the village.

Coffee, building relationships and breaking down social barriers in the workplace.
